Business Success Manager

As business success manager, you will work alongside our team to empower small businesses across the region to raise the capital they need from their communities. Through an expert understanding of the challenges small businesses face every day, you’ll wear a lot of hats, working with businesses at every stage of their investment campaign. You’ll be working alongside a wide variety of small businesses with the knowledge that every business you help will be creating jobs and driving economic development in their community.

In this role, you’ll be a Small Business Sherpa:

  • Onboarding clients who have just launched on MainVest and acting as their main point of contact.

  • Working with the Community Manager on new client launch strategies, which may span public relations, paid advertising, and organic content.

  • Understanding the unique needs of each business and tailoring your approach as needed.

  • Empowering entrepreneurs to take ownership over their investment campaign through education and peer management.

  • Shaping the future of communities across America, empowering local economic growth while bringing cities closer together.

  • Empathy and Execution. As a core team member of an early stage company, our success will intrinsically tied to your success. A strong understanding of the challenges small businesses face and how we can help is core to success in the role.

The ideal candidate probably has some or all of these skills:

  • Experience in fundraising, development, or crowdfunding.

  • Experience in general marketing, public relations, or content creation.

  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of clients

  • Knowledge of the challenges that small businesses face

  • Amazing people/networking skills

  • A scrappy, positive, startup-y attitude
